You have about 13 pto hp to work with...
I'm thinking 4 foot max, maybe smaller if hard ground.

agree, even 4' will be too much unless previously tilled ,'garden' soil.

I have a TSC 4’ tiller and it runs great. We have heavy clay soil as well. I have it forward rotating but it can be reversed if desired. No offset but it covers my tracks and my wheels are set wide.

curious, how deep does that tiller dig ?

It goes 6-7” deep. I use a sub-soiler to loosen up 16-18” down as well. It is a great combo for initial garden prep. Long term I have a Broadfork for maintaining my gardens.

Thanks to all. I purchased a TG-48-XB (4 ft) yesterday. I will let you know how it works.

over good. It was well built and easy to assemble.(check grease, grease fitting) I had to cut 9 inches off the drive shaft. The hardest part was connecting it to the tractor. There isn't much room to slide it on the shaft and it has a pin &spring , as I call it. Trying to suppress the spring and slide it on with only inches on each side. I finally separated the drive shaft, laid on my back and slide the shaft onto the tractor, then connected the sides of the shaft and then connected it to the roto tiller. I am thinking about removing the pin and spring with a bolt.
As far as working it worked great. having said that, I live in the black hills, no clay. it is either rock or easy soil in the valleys. I used it in the valleys.
