I have a problem with gunk in my gas tank and @MarkBX25D pointed to this YouTube video that is exactly what I need. It shows how someone cut a hole in the top of their fuel tank and cleaned it out, then sealed it back up. I want to do something a bit different and, instead of a permanent resealing, make it so I have an access hatch to get in there easily for cleaning again, if needed.
My BX25D is partially taken apart at this point, and it would take me a while to put things back in and remove them again to get the photos I want. So could someone please take photos of what it looks like under the seat and the seat mount so I can figure out how much clearance on top of the fuel tank I have if I want to make an access cover that will still seal and keep gas and fumes in?
When I'm done with all this, if I have something worth sharing, I'll post pics and info on it.
