Wife and I both applied the old-fashioned way via mail, with photos done at the local AAA office. Apps were mailed on March 27, and delivered to the Philly office on March 31 (mine) and April 3 (wife's). Don't ask how they got separated for four days - It's USPS!I received an email from the Department of State on 3/19 that my application for a new passport was approved and that my passport is being printed. I was also told that I should receive my new passport on or around 3/25. I applied online on 2/23 so around four weeks from application to receiving ... in theory. I need to stop by the Post Office since I haven't received a USPS tracking number.

Anyway, I got my new passport on April 13, and wife got hers on the 15th. Two weeks to process and deliver.
