You guys might bang on the slick 50, but I had a 99 GMC, V6 and the valves tapped on start up since the day I got it,, ran like a find swiss watch,, tick tick tick,, anyways, wallyworld or somebody was getting rid of the slick 50, so for like 2 bucks, what did I have to lose,, had 60 some K on it,, same oil, same mileage change and added that jug of slick 50. Went to work the next morning,, and tick tick tick ,,,,,,, and then nada ,,,,,,,,it stopped making noise, 240K on the clock I got rid of it. And it never made a noise after that oil change.
Those additives fit in the curbsider's toolbox along with duct tape and the paint roller for stone guard!

Whenever you see “surface modifier”, run away as quick as you can.

Absolute snake oil.

I worked with a guy that bought a new Ford pickup, he always took care of his vehicles so he used Slick50 in it and told everyone that they should too. After maybe a year the engine was spent so he traded it taking a large loss. I told him that Slick50 cost him about $5000 a quart.
NASA or Boeing should hire you to diagnose their equipment since you don't even need to inspect an engine to determine how and why it failed, you can do it remotely. Very useful for stuff that's 35,000 ft up in the air to 250,000 miles away from earth.

Buy a bottle …. pour the contents into your know-it-all brother-in-law’s Beemer….and keep that cool calibrated bottle for accurately dispensing Everclear to raise the octane in the punchbowl.

I remember those Slick 50 days, always wondered how much of it actually made into the engine and did what it was suppose to do once it went through the oil filter the first few times.

really cheap filters were best for your engine if you fell for Slick 50. 🥳

I know it made the clutch in my KLX650 start to slip directly after.
