Glad I live in Australia in an area that doesn't have snow....so I don't have to try to design a heated cab for my poorly designed 40 year old tractor.

Well done moderators.

Oh my…I am not sure what I missed to day, but it sounds like maybe a doozy…after reading the whole thread only thing Im thinking now is ‘mmmm bacon’….where oddly enough (supposedly) origins of salted pork belly (bacon) was invented by those that changed the spelling to Kabota many years later. 😉

My guess is that I'm in the majority - someone who bought a cab and expected it to have a door on each side.

The DIY cab on my previous tractor had two doors. The intent was to be able to exit if the tractor was on its left side in the creek. It was never used for that but it was handy to be able to reach in either side to operate the FEL, and occasionally communicate to someone to the right of the tractor.
I'm all in favor of right side doors on cabs, but I'm not sure I'd add one if I were building a cab. I'd probably focus on rear egress rather than side, particularly in this application. Access could be achieved via a window rather than an entire door. No biggie though, I just like my cabs factory. I've yet to see a homemade cab that looked anything other than crap, but just my opinion, to which I'm entitled. 😂

I added the hardware to make my MX right side door accessible from the exterior and it was well worth the $300 or so. I regularly access the cab from the right side on both tractors, but do not get in/out using those doors, and there's a lot more room in both of them compared to the BX.

I went thru the same challenges as most have when I fabricobbled the cab for my BX several years ago. I decided to add the right side door because I could. Don't use it very often due to the loader valve joystick, but, still provides a quick 2nd egress if ever needed.

Ahhh so I'm not the only one who uses the right side cab door less frequently as a result of that loader joystick poking out into the transit pathway between the operator station and door. Here I thought I was just being too picky.

Ohhh I so wanted a cab, I mean every time I sat in one at the stealers my butt puckered tight to the seat. Then the sales guy said,,,,, how long do you think that cab will have windows or a top where you would be using it,,, yeah OK I know your right,,, but one day!!!!
