/\ /\ /\ Agree with nearly everyone above. . . keep it!

Edit: Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it! :)

Hi everyone. First post here. Still learning about my tractor. I have a '98 Kubota L3010 that I inherited with a home that I bought. House has 11 acres with a 1/4 mile gravel driveway. I do various things with my tractor, most of which do not even use 25% of the tractor's potential. It is used a lot for driveway maintenance with box scrape, and snow removal. I move dirt around occasionally for dirt bike jumps for the kids, but thats pretty much it. Cutting wood and hauling here and there.

I am continuing to learn maintenance and have kept up a lot with it. I feel as though this tractor is overkill for what I use it for. I am believing that I can still get over $10,000 for it right now with its 1,300 hours and attachments. Thinking to move to a cheaper unit just to use the box scrape etc. Am I crazy?

I have a backhoe, box scrape, wood splitter, post hole digger, and york rake as attachments.

If I sold and replaced, I'd consider a gas tractor with 3point, or an older Deere 750, or biting the bullet on a new kubota bx series.

First off welcome to the forum. Looks like you have a nice place there and looks like the previous owner took care of that tractor. There is no way I would sell that tractor and buy a old wore out gas engine tractor. If it seems a little big for you and you don't use the backhoe a lot take it off and store it in that nice shed. I wouldn't sell it either as soon as you do you will need it.

so, if you haven't decided to keep it yet... here's some food for thought. i bought mine last year ... early summer it had 2000 hours on it for 9k - i had to replace the driveshaft to the front end and had a hose burst on me after maybe 40 hours. no bh on mine, which i'm so envious of folks that have that because even now a bh for this guy runs 7-9k. i still think i got an excellent deal on it, as a 30hp tractor new would be 20k with no attachments - no loader, no backhoe. and that's a red one not an orange one, and a smaller frame (which matters because of the tire size and weight, i think mostly). if you go with the same size newer, you'll have to deal with def and the occasional recycle, and the filters and maintenance that come with that as well. you'll likely have to get smaller implements to go with a smaller frame tractor as well - box blade, rotary cutter or finish mower might be too big for the new smaller one.

that being said, if you just want to offload that backhoe for 2k, hit me up lol

Thanks everyone for the advice. It is much appreciated. She will stay right where she is. She has been nothing but a dream for the most part so far. also forgot to mention that my neighbor owns a large Avant tractor with every attachment that I could imagine, and ones i do not own.
