They were the first to infringe on R2's patent many years ago, before the Chinese started doing it.
Wasn't aware of any patent infringement issue. That's a pretty serious issue.

Patent granted. I despise the thieves that steal intellectual property. I see that R2 has a trademark protection too, but Amazon simply doesn't care about such technicalities.



This doesn't appear to be what happened here, but the appeal of having stuff made overseas for a lot less to increase profits (initially) soon wears off when those companies start making their own versions and undercutting the inventor. This has happened thousands of times and will continue to happen unless there are meaningful repercussions.
