Performed my 400 hour service in my 2018 B2650 a few days ago. Well, I added to much Hydraulic fluid. I know the culprit as I never pulled one of the transmission drain plugs(found out yesterday that there are 2 of those). I'm thinking maybe to much by over a quart. I just pulled her back into my garage and am preparing to drain some fluid. But I have to ask. What type of damage could a guy do to his transmission or hydraulic system with to much fluid? Any?

If it is just a quart out of a few gallons I would not worry with it.

You could probably just suck out the overage through the fill port with a turkey baster type tool.

I wouldn't worry one bit but would be nice to hear how much / how hard / for how long you worked the machine after the over fill. In some cases damage could happen but guessing your overfill so minor and not worked hard after only moved into shed.

I wouldn't be concerned and just suck excess fluid out the yellow dip stick if you have a fluid evacuator or crack open one of your drain plugs.

A cheap manual extractor can be had for as low as $10 around these parts and a nice to have sitting around the shop.

Thanks for the replies. Yup. a little over a quart to much UDT2. Ah well. Learning through experience here. And in case you are wondering, yes, I made a hell of a mess when I pulled that drain plug... :ROFLMAO: Good thing for Speedy Dry...

I wouldn't think 1 quart is going to be too much
What had me so worried was that the fluid was showing 1/2 way up the dip stick. Like I had over 2 quarts over filled. But now that I have drained and rechecked, I'd say that I was a quart over filled. Maybe a little more, but not much.

It would be handy to know the volume by looking at the dipstick. Those bars only tell if we have too little or too much. Yes, we know the volume of what SHOULD be in there but if it's down one mark, how much volume is that. Adding fluid bit by bit is too time consuming...imho, of course.
