Now that spring is here and its started to rain heavily, does anyone have recommendations on good rain gear? Jacket and pants for working out in the rain. Something that will keep me dry and hold up over time. And of course not too expensive. I know, you get what you pay for.... But I don't want to over pay...

I have had good success with Viking rain gear over the years. May be worth a look.

I have Gore-Tex that I bought in the late 80's that I still use today. It ain't cheap, but it's worth it. Luckily, it was bought at 50% off. There are other, newer rain gear fabrics that may be better, but they ain't cheap, either.

I ride motorcycles a lot and I Use Frog Togs as my rainsuit. They are light, strong and are breathable. I have worn them when it was very cool, and I had all my winter clothes on to keep me warm.

WW2-style U-Boat leathers are good.… but expensive.

West Marine has Foul Weather Gear you might look at.
