Just in case it helps anyone: I got a Chinese ebay pump for my M5400 and I finally got to mount it today. It wasn't an exact fit, the bolt pattern on one of the exit lines was wrong also all the suction line bolt holes had to be enlarged, thank God the flanges on the lines are aluminium and it was easy to drill. Still a lot of aggravation due to the limited access. Also the face plate is too thick... But got it done eventually. And the hydraulics worked right off the get go. Will see how long it lasts. It was $320 shipped which was hard to say no vs $1700 on messicks.

Yeah, do tell. One thing I don't exactly care for on my old M4500 is the hydraulic pump capacity. Being able to fit something of higher capacity would be of interest.

Yes ! Princess Auto has the BEST return policy and GREAT staff. Bought a 'Valley' meat grinder to make deer burgers 3 years ago, used 3 times, something 'busted', took the machine back and girl gave me new one ,machine and all parts !! I've used their 'Hydroworks' pumps/hoses for years, Made in Korea. Also their 'linear actuators' for snow blower chutes. Only negative, they won't ship 'chemicals'..........sniff,sniff.

From the OP's description I am not sure he purchased or looking to purchase a PTO pump but rather the tractor's pump.

Which he already purchased and fit to his tractor. Unless I am missing something he is giving readers a mini review and what he had to do to fit the pump. :)

It looked very close to the original but not a perfect fit.
I have dealt with parts like that on a car. Looked close. Smelled close. Once it was tone to bolt things up.....not close enough. To me, if they can't even bore holes right, they might not get the rest of it right.

More likely an indicatiom its a generic pump/fit. I have used lots of "cheap Chinese" gear pumps over the last 10+ years and they have been fkawless.

I've used ChiCom junk too, in a pinch. With thousands of miles of success too. But if the holes are off center, ore the taper is the wrong angle......back in the boat it goes. Bon Voyage. I don't put up with it.

I am still not clear on what did not fit.

Dan
The mounting faceplate was thicker, setting the in and out ports back. The bolt pattern for one of the outs was wrong so I had to drill the flange with 4 additional holes. It was tough to get right because of the limited access. I eyeballed the locations and adjusted with a dremel. But it works and no leaks.

Port bolt circle missmatch sounds like its more generic than application specific. Or crossed over from some other application.
