Rear-mount snowblower on B2401DT (gear drive): yay or nay?

At the end of last season I got a deal on an MK Martin SB54 snowblower for use with my B2401. I have about 3 hours on it so far, all blowing heavy wet snow, up to 12"/30cm. In sections where it was less than 8" I could use M-R but more than that L-R range was necessary. Although 1.3km/h is...

    B2401 Aux Hydraulics Project

Came across this thread and it reminded me of your question: https://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/threads/kubota-b2650-auxiliary-hydraulics.340923/ Poster says 1/4" female ports for PB. Would need to loop them together when not being used for 3 point to work.

    3 point log splitter

I was thinking along the same lines for my B2401. I only have occasional use for a splitter (Elm and big knotty pieces) and was thinking of making up some hoses to connect the cylinder of a broken gas splitter (the engine is toast, hydraulics are fine) to the LA435 quick-connects. I'd position...

    Hydrostatic vs Geared Transmissions.

I have a Husqvarna HST lawn tractor and a B2401 gear drive tractor with a brushhog. The Husqvarna is great for getting in the tight spaces around the trees, going fast over the smooth lawn but being able to slow down easily for the bumpy bits and tight turns. The B2401 is great for hacking...

    Another B2401

My B2401 definitely has power steering. If it's not hydraulic, what is it? As for lower flow rate, I think that only means implements might move a bit slower. A LA435 loader has the same capacity on all the B-series models. Presumably same for the backhoe. Only thing I noticed in the...

    Another B2401

I have had my B2401DT for a month, including one big dump of snow. It was deep enough that I had to go down my lane pushing snow onto piles on either side, and then clean up with a rear blade. I didn't really think shifting between R and 2 all the time slowed me down in the slightest. And I...

Rear-mount snowblower on B2401DT (gear drive): yay or nay?

Hi @Utepils, Did you ever get a B2401 with snowblower? Just finished cleaning up a 45cm snowfall with my B2401 with the bucket and a rear blade and with that much snow found I had to use the bucket for the bulk of it. Actually did some with my old push snowblower with led me to think about...

Is the equipment shortage ending? Probably not, but look at this JD dealer's lot.

Mike the sales guy dropped off my B2401 this morning, just shy of 6 months after I ordered it! Fortunately we've had a really "dry" winter so far, hardly any snow accumulation. First thing I did was hook-up the rear blade so that it's ready to clear my 300m "driveway" should we get that big...

It finally arrived at the dealer just after Christmas, after a long wait in Vancouver waiting on the rail lines through the Rockies to get rebuilt after the washouts in November. Got all the paperwork squared away today, just waiting on the "tire guy" to get back from holidays to load the...

Advice choosing between several different models…

Exactly why I opted for a geared model (B2401), as none of the HST models have "cruse" that works in reverse. With geared model just put it in one of the reverse gears, set the throttle and your feet don't have to do anything.

The Bachelorette! I commend your restraint, I myself would have been driven to diatribe! 🤣

Not at all. I believe both Kubota engine and steel tube manufacturers are going flat out, probably producing more output than ever before, but the demand still exceeds supply in both. You can model this behaviour with queuing theory, which shows that the longer the imbalance exists the longer...
