Yes. I could just remove the solenoid, close the opening and then install a bowden cable to the mechanical shut off. But I liked the simple old setup which worked for me for 5 years with the old engine. Will probs just replace the solenoid. Thanks for all help here!

Ah. I see. So there is no easy way in wiring this up. Needs a timer ( capacitor driven relay ) then? Unfortunately I only have the wiring diagram for the old setup.

As I am still mnot having any success, let me just show you some more images.

The first thing I checked when the problem occured was the solenoid in fact. But that was not the issue. So today I messed a bit with the bolt ( 020 ) and it seems that that helped. Will see if it is a consistant improvement. Not sure what bolt (070) does but maybe someone can enlighten me...
