M108SHC intermittent starting issues, random in nature, electrical?

So the M108SHC has an intermittent starting issue, where it randomly decides it will not start. Sometimes it works fine for days, then other times, you turn it off and come back a few minutes later and it wont start. Today is a day it wont start. The ambient temperature is 55 degrees, clear...

Kubota M108SHC starting issues, starts sometimes, sometimes not, hit or miss

The item above 100 that you mention is a thermo sensor. Playing the Kubota Diagram hide and seek game, i found it numbered and identified on diagram 395000 engine electrical part. The heater the other person mentioned is #150 under the item 100 you mentioned. That said, i will run the tests...

Kubota M108SHC starting issues, starts sometimes, sometimes not, hit or miss

Thanks for this info. I went back and looked at the supplied drawing and i did find the heater you referred to. I also did not find any "glow plugs". I was under the impression it had glow plugs because one of the descriptions of the relay said something like "Relay Heater Glow". Yesterday...

Kubota M108SHC starting issues, starts sometimes, sometimes not, hit or miss

Thanks for the reply Russell, but other than expressing an opinion, you did not really provide any useful info. If you read the post, you will see that i said i used it to test to see if i was getting any ignition/glow/etc.. You probably know that if there was ignition, then with ether, it...

Kubota M108SHC starting issues, starts sometimes, sometimes not, hit or miss

All, Never had a starting issue with this tractor. First cold day down here in South Texas, started right up, ran like a top. Next day (saturday) would not start no matter what i did. Cranks fine, getting fuel under pressure out of the rail to the injectors. Would not even crank over with a...

    M108S AC Heat Sensitizing Tube

Fordtech86, Looking at the diagram of parts in the area of the piping for cold and hot fluids up at the evaporator and heater cores, they list servo motors. I am going to speculate that it is electrical and not cable operated. You make a very good point that if a valve is not closing (or...

    M108S AC Heat Sensitizing Tube

Fordtech86, i will have to research and see if it does have a coolant shut off for the heater core. Have not seen that in my research. Will also see how to check if the blend door is working properly. I could see where that could make it run hotter than it should if it is not closing properly...

    M108S AC Heat Sensitizing Tube

Tughill, Now that i know the purpose of the HST. my next thought is perhaps the expansion valve is bad or clogged by something that was missed in the system. I was thinking more along the lines of some sort of debris as opposed to air and moisture. I cannot get to the AC again until...

    M108S AC Heat Sensitizing Tube

Yes. When all components were replaced, i flushed the lines out. I did not flush out all of the new components as i was advised not to. I then pulled a vacuum on the system over night, as i was told the longer i could do so the better. Thanks for the reply.

    M108S AC Heat Sensitizing Tube

Dave the part number is 050 T1065-72162 SUB-ASSY THERMOSTAT ** Replaces T1065-72160 ** It is the number listed in the parts diagram i posted in my original post. I have never actually seen the part, as i did not know it existed when i took the unit apart and replaced all of the parts. Fedup...

    M108S AC Heat Sensitizing Tube

Hey Fedup. So the WSM says they are supposed to be LO side 22 to 28 and HI side 185 to 241. A friend told me with R134a the LO side would probably be around 34. WSM says system takes 2.09 to 2.31 lbs of R134a. I also filled the system with the correct amount as specified of ND-ACEITE 8<PÁG*...

    M108S AC Heat Sensitizing Tube

ALL HERE IS SOME MORE INFO. Here is the picture of the heat sensitizing tube. The block/sensor looks to have two prongs which most likely have a female connection connected to them. There is also a probe on one end that i would imagine as Dave said it is inserted into a cooling fin? Might...
