    New To Us M8540

If frt end loader will be used to load objects on a trailer then I highly recommend installing a front grill/hood guard. I've owned a '11 M7040 hyd shuttle that I purchased used in '12 with a 137 hrs that has 1900 hrs showing on speed/hr meter that has handled many 100's of rd bales, 7 ft...

M7060 - Sudden & complete loss of loader/3pt/remote hydraulics, but PS and Transmission still function?

I'll add to the excellent information that TheOldHokie has posted that one should perform good diagnostic procedures as you're attempting to do before considering replacing any major parts? Over my many yrs associated with repairing hyd problems I've read of hyd pumps & valves being replaced to...

Bummer - I think my AC Compressor is Failing!? (M7060)

Ditto on blocking heat hose from any coolant passing through it. Heater hose on my '91 JD 4255 has had heater hose cut-off valve closed since 1994. Is radiator, condenser, evaporator & AC filters very clean from dirt/debris????? Next one needs to attach AC gauges to determine if refrigerant...

    Loader Falls too fast

Many yrs ago I installed an adjustable flow control valve on boom circuit on a M4900 that had a Kubota FEL. Feathering cable controlled FEL spool valve while handling 1000 # rd bales with a 49 HP with sufficient rear counterbalance weight didn't suit this Old Man that had been operating...

    L3010 lugs down

Check to be sure fuel tank vent is open/not clogged. Many yrs ago I had a M4900 that lacked power. After I performed most common fuel diagnostics procedures the local Kubota dealer service manager advised me to closely inspect gallies in water separator housing. I found a small screen on fuel...

Messicks parts site opened like normal for me on my PC using Chrome. https://www.messicks.com/catalogs/kubota/m7040hd/engine/300001-crank-case-old-s-no-8s0230-note-order-by-ref-no-010-and-fig-no-315001-or-03-ref-no-040-070-080-new-parts

    M7040 Weak, choppy hydraulics

I agree as it sounds as if hyd oil was contaminated with water. I suggest to check trans case vent to be sure it's not clogged. One could test old hyd ooil by placing a small amount in a pan then heating to determine if heated oil emitted a crackling sound.

    M7040 Weak, choppy hydraulics

Normally hyd pump's don't just suddenly bite the dust! I suggest to perform good hyd diagnostic procedures before entertaining idea of replacing the hyd pump. I suggest checking hyd pressure with a gauge. I've also owned a ''11 M7040 since 2012. My guess is debris is in hyd relief valve...

    shuttle shift hydraulics

Do you know if shuttle/reverser control is manual or relay controlled? My M7040 is manual via a cable controlled & some other model Kubota's are relay/electronically controlled.

    4 cylinder turbo help!

I'll suggest to check for good fuel flow from tank to inj pump. Is fuel tank vent open? Many yrs ago I had a similar fuel problem on a Kubota M4900 tractor that local dealer service manager advised me to check for blockage in water separator housing. Upon closer inspection I located a tiny...
