    L2502 wont start

I would send the pump off to an actual fuel injection shop to see if they can resuscitate it properly. With that much gunk & water intrusion, she needs a professionals touch, if not some parts outright replaced.

    L2502 wont start

I don’t think I have ever seen a fuel filter quite that nasty.

    L2502 wont start

If you’re getting fuel, I’d move on to checking over all of the safety switches on the unit, to ensure they aren’t preventing a start. Seems like you’ve diagnosed this to be a fuel issue, but it’s worth checking if the issue persists. HST pedal, under seat switch, and I believe the PTO all have...

    Busted fuel tank

It means that the tank is fully toasted.

    Busted fuel tank

Your 1957 tractor didn’t have a HDPE or polypropylene tank, either. “Sandwich” is a band aid for a gunshot wound on a plastic tank with giant holes in it. It absolutely does not “work”. It’s just delaying a fuel leak.

    Busted fuel tank

I’ve seen it too, and it’s a major reason why I refuse to purchase any sort of equipment from farmers. They constantly are doing hare brained half measured repairs on things. Polypropylene fuel tanks cannot be properly repaired using epoxy products. HDPE is especially tricky due to its...

    Busted fuel tank

There isn’t a patch that exists that you should be happy with. I completely understand that it’s expensive, as my tractor isn’t used to generate income either, but there simply isn’t any other option aside from replacing the fuel tank. It’s never a fun day when ya break things on expensive...

    Busted fuel tank

A thousand dollars of Monopoly money is infinitely preferable to half-assing something as critical as a fuel tank. Cost of doing business.

    Busted fuel tank

Yep, that tank is junk now.

Shuttle shift is hard to shift

You’re going to need to share more details about this, at least beyond a simple statement, if you want someone to be able to assess what you’ve got going on.

fluid for front axle case Kubota L 3130

Changing fluid types will not fix a leaking seal for the same reasons that all the various “mechanic in a can” products aren’t a solution to any problem. Fix the seal, and then you can fill it with either. I personally run whatever product I have sitting leftover on my shelf from other...

    Removal of DPF filter?

Considering that the warranty is completely off the table once the DPF falls off, that’s really a moot point, no? Not to mention that I have two pieces of equipment sitting at dealers (One Kubota, one Deere) as we speak getting hydraulic pump work done, and neither of them have the muzzle on...

    Removal of DPF filter?

Of course that is a perfectly acceptable stance to hold. Can’t say I blame you. I’m just saying that across four different states, we have had no shortage of willing technicians to work on both our equipment and vehicles that are sans-DPF. It’s a non issue.

    Removal of DPF filter?

It may not be legal, but it is a common practice. We have dozens of pieces of equipment and vehicles both that get serviced just fine, and they all are “lighter” in the exhaust department.
