    Removal of DPF filter?

Considering that the warranty is completely off the table once the DPF falls off, that’s really a moot point, no? Not to mention that I have two pieces of equipment sitting at dealers (One Kubota, one Deere) as we speak getting hydraulic pump work done, and neither of them have the muzzle on...

    Removal of DPF filter?

Of course that is a perfectly acceptable stance to hold. Can’t say I blame you. I’m just saying that across four different states, we have had no shortage of willing technicians to work on both our equipment and vehicles that are sans-DPF. It’s a non issue.

    Removal of DPF filter?

It may not be legal, but it is a common practice. We have dozens of pieces of equipment and vehicles both that get serviced just fine, and they all are “lighter” in the exhaust department.

Need fender mounted armrest for L series

I am not aware of an arm rest for a standard L series tractor, but anything is possible with a drill & some creativity.

    Custom Tire Repair

That is the textbook derogatory definition of “custom”. 🤢

    Oil Capacity

Yes. That is indeed the point I was trying to make. Possibly a bit underwhelming on the delivery on my part.

    Oil Capacity

My L2501 has a 6qt capacity. I have yet to put over 5 quarts in during an oil change.

    Hydraulic Oil Mystery

There are an awful lot of nooks & crannies on the inside of a tractor where air pockets can can hide after a drain and fill. Top it back off and move on with your day.

    Post on water pump

You’re already in there. May as well fix it now, instead of doing the work twice.

    Mower Deck Gear Oil

Except I at least get the benefit of weapons-grade diarrhea from the McDonalds. Synthetic gear oil in a mower deck that gets changed annually is legitimately just pouring money into the waste oil bin.

    Mikuni carb flooding

I definitely wouldn’t go reaming out the “seat” in that carb. Instead of just randomly bending & tweaking things for a result, I would instead perform a pop off test for starters. You’re just chasing a ghost in the dark until you know if the needle is sealing off fuel flow at all.

    Purging Injectors - Confused

There is no attitude. People here are just trying to prevent you from getting into a situation that could possibly be beyond your depth.

    Mower Deck Gear Oil

I run synthetic in all my vehicles, and also in my tractor. They are applications that can really take advantage of the benefits brought on with a modern synthetic fluid. The gearbox on a mower deck isn’t one of those places, so I don’t. However, if it makes you feel warm and fuzzy, run the...

    Mikuni carb flooding

Time to perform a pop-off test to see what PSI the carb is holding before letting fuel into the bowl. The seat for the needle could also be leaking. I tend to replace the needle & seat as a pair.

    Filter Prices

When we have our first A/C blower/compressor/condenser failure in the fleet, I’ll let ya know. So far, we haven’t had one fail before the vehicle/equipment goes down the road to auction, but surely after 12 years that luck will run out.
