On the gear drive or gst yes there will be a pto shaft that run in the middle on the input shaft I agree but on the hst there is only one shaft

It’s a good practice to drain it in a clean bucket that way you don’t loose any if you want to reuse it

Since it’s a hst there is only one input shaft on transmission ,so If the clutch is pooched the pto will not work,if it would be the gear drive model the pto input shaft is spline to the fly wheel so it would not affect pto

Usually work light switch goes on right pillar there is two square in the pillar were the switch goes

Maybe a seat that gets hard enough in cold weather to press on switch properly or a tool (hammer , screw driver etc jammed in the seat rail)it sound like a seat switch problem

If the only différence is the hose quick coupling mechanism on the end of the hose go for it. Wathever you do just discard of that constantly leaking fancy quick coupling on the newer loader hose and install regular coupling to match your tractor. Just my 2 cent..
