I'm using a Woodmaxx VM-8H hydraulic feed chipper. Has a 8 inch capacity. My MX5200 has no issues driving it at all which an 8 inch log disappears in the hole. No issues at all.

Agree. Never have taken mine off either. You can even back-drag with the bar on, if you use a shallow angle. As far as digging abilities, if feel like I gained about 50 hp after I put it on.

Using a Piranha bar on my MX5200. Makes a huge difference.
