    hydraulic issue

I had to assemble it all myself from the quick hitch to the blower. It all came on a large pallet that the dealer slid into my garage. The instructions basically said to attach the appropriate color rings to the hydraulic lines. I think I'm all set on this. Just saw a video that showed pushing...

    hydraulic issue

Appreciate the response. You're probably right. If I raise the blower before hitting the detent by pushing forward, if I go past the detent the blower will drop hard so it makes sense to revers the hydraulic lines.

    hydraulic issue

Yes, it is new. I think it works now except it seems to work backwards from Larry's. By switching the hydraulic lines I can cause it to operate the way Larry described. The question now is, should the blower lower when pressing the lever forward or raise. Mine raises when I push the lever forward.

    hydraulic issue

Thanks Larry. I think it was operator error but it sounds like I have the reverse operation. When I push the lever forward past the detent, the blower does drop. In order to raise it, I have to move the lever slowly from its normal position forward before I hit the detent. Then the blower rises...

    hydraulic issue

I had my first chance to use my new BX2370 with the 5450 snow blower. All was working fine last month when I parked it but today when i pushed the lever up to raise the blower it would not go. I was able to get plenty of down pressure when I pressed downward and wound up lifting the front...

    Thanks Mike. Great diagram...

BX Mid mower deck belt tension

Thanks all, the belt is pretty hefty for the double grooved pulleys. Maybe it will hold up if I leave it alone. It also looks like I would have to remove the PTO gearbox if I had to replace the belt. The manual doesn't give any clues to that either. I suppose I might look for a service manual if...

BX Mid mower deck belt tension

Thanks Mike, thought of that but I don't have the right tool to unhook the spring which is under pretty high tension. My manual didn't have any hints either even though it recommended loosening it for storage. I latched a pair of vise grips on one end but could not budge it. No big deal but the...

BX Mid mower deck belt tension

The manual for my BX-2370 mid mower deck recommends loosening the drive belt during winter storage. Anyone out there have any recommendation as to how to do this? I can probably remove the belt at the idler pulley but not sure if there's a better way. The spring tension is awful strong on the...

Attaching new snow blower assembly on bx2370

The dealer swapped my 2751 kit for the 2753 kit and with the longer spline, problem solved. As to the difficulty of getting the drive shaft removed I had been pushing it too far onto the PTO shaft which protruded to the differential. Live and learn. Also lubricated all the splines with sticky...

Attaching new snow blower assembly on bx2370

The 2751 mid-shaft is also 44.5" but when I attached it I had a devil of a time removing it from the mid PTO. It seemed to be well greased but the collar wouldn't pull back all the way. I struggled with it under the tractor for the better part of 45 minutes till I was finally able to detach it...

Attaching new snow blower assembly on bx2370

I basically had to do all the things you listed above and it was all described in the installation manual. I was not originally aware that the carriage assembly that held the mower also had to be removed. I suspect the dealer ordered the bx2751 when he should have ordered the 2753 which has...

Attaching new snow blower assembly on bx2370

Thanks for all that information. It appears I have a BX2370-1 tractor which is very new. I got delivery of the snow blower today including the quick hitch and mid-line PTO. I got the hitch assembled and operating fine. However the 2752 mid-line PTO is about 6 inches too short to reach the rear...
