    Head gasket price

I tried to aftermarket head gasket on a D1105-- leaked like a sieve. Water all the way around the outside. It was $35. OEM gasket doesn't leak. Lesson learned.

oil overfull - looking for advice

Pull the dipstick out and touch it to a white paper towel. If there is fuel in the oil it will leave a lighter ring around the dark spot on the towel.

BX 2350 hard line repair options

If you can figure out what size line it is there is a fitting called "Swedgelok" or something like that. I've used them on 3000 psi aircraft hydralic lines for a permanent repair. Both ends have to be cut square. but once it's in place it's there for good.

    Heads Up for B2650 Owners

The hard tube inline with the 2 lower hoses on my F2560 was broken at the attach bolt hole. Let the hose sag down to the left forwad motor mount and nearly rubbed a hole in it. Fixed the bracket, new hoses and found the bracket was bent. Readjusted and no more problem. Very similar situation.

    F2100e radiator

This is from a F2560, but your F2100 radiator appears to be pretty close to the same.. #180 is the hose that connects to the small port, then the drain valve, (150-160) and then to the block, (210). It's all to drain/change the coolant as far as I know. There may be some circulation when it's...

    F2560 Steering cylinder

Got it running, now chasing leaks. Steering cylinder is leaking leaking from the rear. Looks like the seals on the rod have gone away. Seal kit is no problem, listed in the parts catalog. Does anyone have a diagram of the seals? Which way the lips go specifically. 35 years of heavy aircraft mx...

    Compression Tester

I have the Harbor Freight Master Diesel Test set. Remove the glow plugs and fit the adapter. Works well for me on both the D722 and D1105 engines so far.

    D1105 Piston question

Industry standard, in my experience, is that if a piston is oversize it's stamped on the top. Does Kubota follow this standard as well?

Kubota F3680 Engine Stops After Random Intervals

I'm late to the party. My GF1800 went thru a bout of not starting, randomly dying, but eventually starting and running fine- until it quit again. Checked the usual suspects, (safety switches, etc.,) Gave up and started going thru the wire harness, checking end to end continuity and finally...

    BX lift pump issues.

There was some sand in the crevices in the bottom that had turned nearly solid. Broke it up and washed it out, then rinsed it with alcohol and diesel.

    BX lift pump issues.

I went thru a batch of the $20 lift pumps too. Went with an OEM pump and was still having problems. Intermittent loss of power, never did totally quit, just power would fall off and run rough, then it would come back and be fine. Ended up pulling the tank, flushing it, and then found the pickup...

    GF1800 steering help

I checked the joints themselves, (Thanks for the tip Hugo!), they were tight. All the play was in the holes the studs go through. I elected to just replace the complete assemblies. Little more cost, but the end result is now the machine will travel in a straight line without constant...

    GF1800 steering help

I have had 4 GF1800's. Refreshed and sold 3. Everyone, without fail, the steering was sloppy. Kubota used very simple ends on the tie rods. Not tapered, just like a bolt from a ball joint thru a flat plate. TIghted the nut instal a cotter pin and done. All of them have worked loose. I've...
