ROPS lights - pods vs light bar

Really interesting, thank you and it has left me with many questions... the Amazon 50 lb magnets look like they have hooks. I didn't see a rectangular magnets. I get my magnets from K&J Magnets. Rufus AI says the bar weighs 6 lbs so the 50lb magnets must hold pretty tight. Wiring seems...

ROPS lights - pods vs light bar

Hey Bee, that's where I'm looking too. What 'cheap brand' did you use? I think I would like to get pods so I could turn them 180 for working with the backhoe. How are you mounting them on the ROPS? Thanks, Tom Stoltz in Maine

    removing grease

Diesel fuel, great, thanks. I have some old kerosene I need to get rid of, I’ll use that… basically diesel I guess. Unless you think it might leave a film. Tom Stoltz in Maine

    removing grease

Gave a quick look and didn’t find any recommendations so I’ll ask. After years of lubing FEL and backhoe I have a lot of grease build up. I would like to clean it up a bit but not sure what to use as a cleaner. I’m afraid lacquer thinner might hurt the paint and don’t want to try it without...

Woodland Mills Stump Grinder Replacement Teeth

So, a year and a half later, has anyone ever had their old teeth re-sharpened? I'm hoping to have my original Woodland Mills re-sharpened or re-capped. I don't think the Wit-son/Gabdon teeth held as well as the WM teeth. Also doubt they can be reused and I wouldn't anyway. Also has anyone...

Yes, that's it. Thanks. Tom Stoltz in Maine

    Bucket Level Indictor

Just to clarify, the exploded seems to indicate parts 140 &150 are secured to part 160. On my LA534 there isn’t a part 160. No holes where it might have broken off. Part 140 attaches to a hole in the vertical structural rib on the back of the bucket. I’m not sure there would be room for the nut...

    Bucket Level Indictor

Yes, that gives me the answer -- thanks. Looks like mine shared off. I'll give my dealer a call today. Thanks again, Tom Stoltz in Maine

    Bucket Level Indictor

On my LA534 FEL the pin that fastens the bucket level indicator to the bucket has come out. It is a hex shaped rod about 1” long (no picture in the manual). How is it fastened to the bucket? I don’t think there were threads because there is no room for a nut and there are no threads in the hole...

Okay, I've ordered some Fluid Film. Read lots of reviews and it left me with a question. do you apply this to painted surfaces? Tom Stoltz in Maine

    winterizing

Thanks for all the ideas. Looks like tarps and Fluid Film is the way to go for my situation. Everything is already up on 2 in blocks, but I'll bet I should get them higher. I learned long ago to use milk bottles filled with water attached to the tarp with shower curtain hangers. Thanks again...

That's a neat idea. Where did you get yours? Tom Stoltz in Maine

    winterizing

Winter is approaching and I'm wondering what you might suggest for implements that live outside. Would it be wise to cover them with tarps or should I just let them sit? indoor storage is not an option. Tom Stoltz in Maine

    Teeth Sharpening

Thanks Dan, that's sorta what I thought. I'll call Jeff's sometime this week and talk to him. Tom Stoltz in Maine

    Teeth Sharpening

Not really, even re-tipping is half the price of a new tooth. Jeff's is one of the places I'm thinking about for re-sharpening. My concern is from a conversation with Scott at Wit-son/Gabdon (who makes teeth). He said the heat of re-sharpening would destroy the bond the carbide tooth has...
