    Close call today

The gravel roads where I live are 55 mph speed limit. Some drive 25 mph, some drive 70 mph, which makes them that much more unsafe. I wish they would just pave them. I was almost hit last year when I was grading a neighbor's driveway. A woman in a minivan was going 70 mph+ and I couldn't...

    L2501DT

I've owned several kubotas over 30 years. Never have I slowed the throttle down to change gears. Never wore out a PTO either. Maybe they make them weaker now, IDK, but I'll be the test case...I'm too old to change my ways. And if you want to see strain on a PTO, you should see what I've done...

    L2501DT

I have a 2019 L2501DT, and I've been using it to brush hog this year. I don't let down the RPMs when switching from forward to reverse...why would you? You shift from forward to reverse with the clutch in, so RPMs don't matter.

    Won't stay in 4wd

Are you sure its in 4wd after moving the lever? Mine is so hard to get in or out of 4wd that sometimes I can't do it: I have to make sure I'm on soft ground (not pavement or hard dirt), make sure tires are straight, rolling, not under power, etc. It would be nice if mine was easier, but not...

    Installing a automatic gate opener

I just finished putting gate openers (dual) on my driveway gates. I went with a clearanced Mighty Mule...I'm not a fan of Mighty Mule but the price was right on clearance...I guess they are going to remote / smart home (by cell phone) accessible gate openers now. I'll post a pic: Pic was...

    Running Long Distances

You ever run long term on the road with a tractor? I have...NOT FUN! Tractors have no suspension. His kidneys will appreciate using the trailer.

    Oversized LPGS for L2501?

That's awesome...and I would point out, that if you had asked this forum first if your L2501 could run this implement, you would have had nearly a universal response of "no way". BTW, nearly every implement I run with my L2501 I'm told my L2501 can't handle: 60" tiller, 72" mower, 60" hog, 7'...

Loader arm doesn't want to engage tractor on one side

I've been attaching / detaching my loader for a year and never had a problem, until last week, when the same thing happened to me: right side went on, left side wouldn't. I can see why you thought you bent the arm, because I thought mine was bent too: it even looks bent when it gets crooked...

Picture of your tractor on your trailer

Yes it is! I'm under the gross for the trailer, by about 600 lbs (that's including the 1100 lbs trailer weight too). It tows great though, and I usually tow with just a blade or a mower without the FEL, so with the tiller and FEL I'm at my heaviest. When I started adding up the pounds, I...

Picture of your tractor on your trailer

Word of warning: This picture was taken about 10 minutes before I almost bit it! I got in a hurry, and loaded my L2501 about 10 inches back from being all the way forward. With weighted tires, and the heavy 60" rototiller, I got too much weight too far back. When I got on the state road...

Anyone ever mount a swivel or reversable light?

Hmm, I never thought of magnets...although seems like vibration would cause them to turn or reposition themselves. I found a kit that would attach a light to the outside of the ROPS, and it states that it can swivel after loosening the mounting bolt. I think I'm going to try this, as I would...

Anyone ever mount a swivel or reversable light?

Hi all, I've been wanting to put reverse lights, with a switch, on my ROPS, so I can see when plowing snow with the 3pt at night (for next season, obviously). Thing is, I live in flat country, and keep my tractor in a garage with a low overhead door, which requires the ROPS to be down. So I...

    L2501 and Rototiller

You'll be happy. The worst thing I can say about the 60" King Kutter (or probably any 60" tiller) is the dang thing is HEAVY...like my heaviest implement for sure. It really is my only implement that I feel I must keep the FEL on when using, just to keep the front wheels planted. Even my 5'...

    L2501 and Rototiller

I run a 60" King Kutter on my L2501 with no problem, and my soil is clay with basketball sized rocks thrown in. My L2501 runs the tiller so well, I'm thinking of reversing it.
