Hmm, it was serviced including changing all fluids by the local Kubota dealer right before I bought it. Wonder if they would be able to look up what they put in it... The weirdest part to me was that it went from not working the last time to working fine in about 30 seconds.

Final update to this particular issue hopefully. Put it outside because it was going to be cold and attempted to start it today when it was 19° and I gave it 10 seconds of preheat and then cranked it about 15 seconds and it fired up which is not as fast as I'd like but certainly manageable. So...

Ok, fixed the fuel shut off solenoid issue so now it shuts off with the key. It started immediately four times over the last 2 days without preheat so I guess it's time to put it back together and put it outside and see how it does in colder temps.

Well, it started right up without preheat. However, it didn't shut off when I turned the key off. So now I've got a new problem to solve. Shop is filled with fumes now so I had to leave.
