    Took it apart inspected and reassembled. Everything looked extremely clean and intact. Did not see any red flags. The problem still exists. Any ideas to what I should look at next?

    tried lubing the splines. didn't fix it. When I turn the engine off, the deck gradually lowers all the way down.

    update: drained some of the fluid down to a normal level with no change in performance. Also disconnected actuator from deck. When engine is started, actuator extends even though deck up/down handle is in the down position.

    Could overfilling the hydraulic reservoir cause this? The level is a little higher than the top mark on the dipstick.

    did not know that it's a one way cylinder. I'll clean and lube all the joints before I start with valve. Thanks

    Can you tell me what area of the mower and which valve that I should look for.

    The deck rck54 will always raise but I have to step on the deck to lower it. Also helps to do this at low rpms. Please help
