Over the last yr, I have been slowly watching my rear wheel self destruct from the inside out. Yesterday it finally happened. Now I am looking for ideas, alternate options to replace my damaged wheels rim. Granted I'm on the other side of the rockies, so shipping is going to kill me.

I have heard of grease, but I have added 80W gear oil. Mine was almost bone dry, minus the water and rust, hence the rebuild thread:o I had to loosen the tank straps and pull it up to get the 10mm on there, I think? good luck!

So, is this due to a poor engineering design, or do I have an issue. I just doesnt make any sense to have one cylinder do the work, then have the other chime in to hold the weight. Should I bleed the lines and check if I have a air lock? It didnt have a bouncy action, or surging. LOST:confused:

The steering was siezed to the shaft, but had no puller. So out came the angle grinder with cutoff. There was a definite water issue in the steering box. I cannot find a weep hole, if there was one in the 8200 box. yup, broken bearing begin dissasembly
