I think you are right but I was hoping to find out if this sounded like a known weakness of the B7800 that someone out there could point me to. It looks like a pretty good job getting to the part of the housing that holds the gears and shafts for the PTO on this one. I've not been there before...

I use my B7800 HST with a Woods Stump Grinder. I have been using for several years, no problem. Today it began jumping out of gear and finally, loud crunch and squealing as though metal was turning on metal. I need this machine back in order quickly. Anyone have advise?
