Does anyone have any advice on bad tachometers? The tach is molded into the instrument panel and they run over 1100 dollars new. Sure could use some advice on repairing the old one.

I am also having tachometer problems. I'm almost a veteran on this subject after having bought the cable and the elbow that attaches to the instrument panel only to discover that it's the tachometer itself. To answer your question on which end goes where, the slotted end of the cable goes on...

I just got through buying over 200 dollars worth of Cable and tachometer elbow only to discover that it's the tachometer itself. I hope there's a fix for it because it's not detachable from the instrument panel. I think I saw the Instrument panel listed new for over 1100.00.
