Hope above is useful - take care, Dick B.

    Hst vs gearbox

Nobody has yet mentioned that your HST's DRIVE BELT could just be worn or loose? HST units usually hold up amazingly well (so do the newer bigger ones). On most Kubota machines the HST is driven directly by the engine but on your TG1860 it is at the back end of the tractor, driven by a belt...

    My gutless wonder

Sorry if this has already been looked at - but symptoms sound like the governor is not responding under load? Find an old tractor mechanic (not necessarily K) to check it out ?

    L185DT Bent Bevel Gear Shaft

Other side looks ok - its probably fine. The bad side is really pretty bad. Its been running damaged for too long ever to be reliable again. First, welding cast iron is very tricky, usually making its micro-structure even more cracked. It may look ok but it is less strong than unwelded...

    L4850 Regulator

Same as on my L5450 - above posts from greensville jay and wolfman show it under the dash panel - I think the harness to it just unplugs.

    L4150DT Power Steering Quit

This may be old news but in 2020 somebody here asked @007kubotaguy whether he had received "that L4150" that he was expecting to get - dunno if he got one or has any steering parts but its worth an ask...... And to Cisco Ranger - no doubt about it - I'm still a major fan of the L3's - Take...

    L5030 No Forward Movement

What we're looking for is extra junk in/around the valve bore that could be holding it open. The pressure is high so a tiny metal shaving could be affecting performance. A new valve TD060-59000 costs around $400 so its worth a close look before just replacing one. Below is a screenshot of the...

    L5030 No Forward Movement

If you take a look at the machine under the left side you'll recognize the HST unit right behind the engine. That photo is from a part of the shop manual where everything is shown disassembled for clarity - the machine is in pieces - hopefully yours wont need that. The high-pressure relief...

    L5030 No Forward Movement

The HP relief valves are shown on WSM pages starting at 3-S89. All you'll be doing is taking them out - with the engine NOT running. When the plug (1) is taken out about 2 or 3 gal of UDT fluid will drain out (have a CLEAN container ready). Here's an excerpt from WSM page 3-S122 showing...

    L185DT Bent Bevel Gear Shaft

I think you'll find the shaft is not bent - but the bearings on it are in bad shape. Parts 16 and 22in the diagram below. The bearings are industry-standard B6206 common ball bearings - often available at auto parts stores - around $10 each. The oil seal part number was 37650-43490 - now...

    L5030 No Forward Movement

When I first got my l48, I took out and interchanged the two high-pressure relief valves, reasoning that the symptom would change from weak reverse to weak forward. It made no difference but that's because the problem was in the cradle bearings. It sounds like your confidence in the dealer is...

    L5030 No Forward Movement

Loss of Forward motion but with Reverse still working, MAY not be a disastrous situation. A few years ago I bought an L48 which was ok going forward but was very weak in reverse. There's a long saga starting here about how it was eventually fixed (has been fine now for a long time). The HST in...

    3 point trouble

At the factory parts website you'll see the L3450 had a lot of optional hydraulic setups. If the machine has a loader its supply and exhaust hoses would connect to the "hydraulic block"(bolted to the frame). That block has a slotted screw head that operates a diverter valve inside, sending...

    A really bad day

Looks like the box blade that did all this damage was moving pretty fast when it got jammed. Assuming the pin broke during the incident, forces high enough to cause that much breakage are most likely from tractor mass inertia - like hitting a rock at speed.

    A really bad day

Looking close at the above posts about reinforcing brackets, none of them state they fit GCMKCM's L3800. It seems that for those brackets to be designed and available from Kubota "after the fact" is an acknowledgement that these models were not as strong as they should have been in that area...
