In my case, both would be full to overflowing. Especially if working on cars/motorcycles/tractors counted against me...

    Daily Chuckle

It was never spoken aloud, but the implications were VERY clear. Graduated in early June, had a job before the end of the month and paid a token "rent" until I left for boot camp the following February. Due to working nights I was relieve of doing evening chores (Dad raised beef critters) but...

    Second remote for B2650?

Well, it took a while, but you were right, not that that's a surprise. It wasn't a serious leak, just weeping but I hadn't put any real pressure on the hydraulics either. It's getting to be time to hit the driveway with the box blade and that WILL require some serious hydraulic pressure so I...

Awesome dogs / Crazy pets Thread

Daughter, her grandkids and Da Dogz. Dad Crichton on the left weighed in at the vet at 114 pounds. His son Dargo on the right tipped the scales at 159!!! He is on a diet. He is not happy.

    PipBoy Holders... The FallOut Series..

Folks that didn't play the game may be confused or turn it off. That'd be me. I turned it off about the time the ghoul was dug up (much as I like Walter Goggins). Apocalyptic movies I like. Zombies an ghouls not so much. My point of view is that a post-nuclear war world is a distinct...

I put retractable "jack" legs on the back of my equipment trailer.

I looked into getting one for some additional storage when I turned my tool shed into a heated shop. I quickly discovered that I could stick-build another building cheaper than getting a container delivered. Better looking too.

I think I've made my retirement decision....

That's right up there for sure, but I think motorcycle therapy might be a touch better, at least for me.

I think I've made my retirement decision....

Speaking of money... My ability to retire comfortably at 62 was due almost entirely to dumb luck: 1. I retired from the Navy in 1990, so there's my military pension income to supplement Social Security, and 2. We've always lived pretty simply. Never eat out unless we're on a road trip...

I think I've made my retirement decision....

I bailed at 62. Actually, a couple of weeks BEFORE I turned 62. I'd reached a point where my choices were: A) Go postal and choke the $%^* out of someone who richly deserved it or; B) Stroke out. One day I actually went from work direct to the ER with a BP of 200/1xx and a massive...

BOHICA!!!!!!! Do you know what you win, when you play stupid games?

It's good to know I'm not the only one that has an apparently simple task turn into a week long "but first I gotta" marathon. Great tip on the funnel too, I ordered one.

    Expensive Day

Gosh, that's encouraging... :D I'll let ya know what bites the dust next. EDIT: That saw was about 30 years old, has built a 24x48 garage, a 20x24 tool shed (later turned into a shop) a 30x40 two story barn, half a dozen sheds and several decks. Like the battery, it doesn't owe me a nickel.

    Expensive Day

Hopped in the truck to go get some underlayment for a project, turned the key and....clickety-clickety-click. Did manage to convince it to start and had NAPA test the battery. Bad, way down on cranking amps, charge state iffy. Well, after 11 years (OEM) I guess it don't owe me much. Swapped in a...
