A rant. What were they thinking in Yahoo? Were they thinking at all?

I still use 'Hoo as my throw-away email, but I've repeatedly declined to "switch to the New Yahoo Mail!!!!!!" Tried it, hated it and switched back. Eventually, I expect I won't have a choice. My "real" email (from my provider, had it for years) is via Thunderbird as well. Decent, no frills...

    BX2680 loose belt

If the belt is the proper length, another option might be a faulty belt. Either broken cords or a "heavy" spot somewhere in the construction. I notice the idler/tensioner seems to be pretty steady, the vibration is in the long, unsupported stretch in the back.

Newbie PTO and Brush Cutter operation

You're welcome. As you're new to tractor work and bush hogging, I'll point out one other thing: A bush hog has VERY heavy blades (hence the amount of inertia) and WHEN, not if, it catches a small rock it will fling it a considerable distance. Be sure the area is clear of delicate objects...

Newbie PTO and Brush Cutter operation

In general, The Hokie's advice is (IMHO) correct, however... I'm making a few assumptions as I'm not familiar with the 3902 so if I'm wrong someone will no doubt correct me. I don't think you have a clutch being HST and you have a switch that is either on or off...no "easing" it into position...

    Have you ever

I grew up on a small farm in central Michigan. Cash crops and a handful of beef critters every year. Of course, that involved all the usual chores, delivering food to the critters, hauling off used food, plowing, planting, cultivating, harvesting, etc. I joined the Navy at 18 and never looked...

Servicing the PTO shaft, should replace discs. Having trouble finding any. Appear to be metric 130mm OD, 80mm ID, 3mm thick. Any experience/sources appreciated. EDIT TO ADD: Howard Part Number is 204066209

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Took the snowblower off and parked it by the shop for pre-storage clean and touchup. Put the hydraulic top link and box blade on and took a swipe at the driveway. WAY too wet for anything resembling finish grade, but drug the high spots into the mudhole. If I can catch a week or so of dry...

    Heater for hydraulic fluid?

B7610 is a hydrostat, right? From there, I'd assume it uses the same fluid for hydraulics as for the transmission. If that's true, then I'd apply the heat to the transmission housing which would likely mean a magnetic heater. Someone more familiar with the 7610 will be along and correct me...
