    I bought the extended warranty on my L2501, the extra 2 years on the powertrain warranty was the thing I liked. Tractor can be almost 8 years old and still be covered.

    A L2501d or dt as sales list it is a 4wd or dual traction gear drive.

    The tractor does not have a vertical stack. Not sure why you are saying the part # does not fit a L2501. it is the first three models listed.

    It is not a freeze plug, seals a bearing bore.

    From your picture I think you need part #6A100-12180, looks to be rubber or rubber coated, from parts picture.

    I think the syncro shuttle on the L2502 is a huge improvement over the L2501, if they would of put a live PTO on it i would own one.
