    My new winter cab.

Ahhh so I'm not the only one who uses the right side cab door less frequently as a result of that loader joystick poking out into the transit pathway between the operator station and door. Here I thought I was just being too picky.

B3030 front end loader cables freezing in cold weather

Thanks for sharing this info, NIW - not having worked on a cable-controlled valve, I didn't realize their orientation is opposite that of the "stick controlled" valves. It's a good day when we can learn something, and I've learned something today!

B3030 front end loader cables freezing in cold weather

This may seem like heresy, particularly since NIW has already commented and his knowledge of these tractors is legion... My experience with lever-actuated loader controls on my B7510 is that it's actually the hydraulic valve that's freezing. There are two hex-shaped "caps" that thread in place...

Best Source for New Tires ?

Time for a follow-up post... The Galaxy Mighty Mow tires are now installed on the front end of one of my B7510's. My first couple of hours of snowblowing (front mount B2782 blower) included the usual transit down our gravel sideroad between laneways. WOW what a difference!!!! In...

    Snowblower for B2320

OK, I'll be the guy to post the dissenting opinion. Please bear with me... Buy once, cry once. You seem like a guy who keeps his equipment a long time. That means you keep it from one stage of your life to the next. This is an extremely important consideration. We, as humans, degrade over...

    BX cab heat

This is a very common problem experienced when "gear clamps" are used on "rubber" hoses. I've used "" quotes to highlight commonly used terminology. Gear clamps have serrations cut through their steel band; these serrations are used as the gear engagement surface to provide clamping force...

Best Source for New Tires ?

If you are looking for turf tires, I've recently posted my story about the Kubota OEM "whole goods" which I purchased for my B-series. To keep it short, it appears the "tire on rim" deal might not be so good after all. The tires are "Litefoot" brand and seem to be too light-duty for the job...

    B7510 fluid level check?

In case you're wondering, that's the hydraulic fluid check point. It's sometimes difficult to get an accurate reading, so it's best to follow the instructions given above by whitetiger. Seeing the fluid level on that yellow dipstick can be a challenge so make sure you've got good light, too.

    Inverted Snowblower Good, Bad, Ugly

I'm curious... For those who have had both traditional "back up" and "pull - inverted" blowers, how would you compare their horsepower requirements? I've heard that inverted/pull blowers require more HP per inch of cut than a traditional "push" blower. Is there any truth to this? I'm a...

Litefoot Turf Tires 23x8.5-12: Sidewalls Cracking / Leaking Prematurely

W With respect to the Litefoot tires being a light duty tire, they were provided as a complete tire/wheel assembly when purchased as "whole goods" from the Kubota dealer - the dealer had no other options available, thus Kubota "recommended" them since it's the only tire/wheel they stock. Given...

Litefoot Turf Tires 23x8.5-12: Sidewalls Cracking / Leaking Prematurely

I'll answer the question about the tires being overloaded. The short answer is "no way in heck have they been overloaded". Yes, the tractor has a FEL. Since two new tires were installed on this tractor the heaviest thing they've supported is the B2782B front-mount snowblower, suspended below...

Litefoot Turf Tires 23x8.5-12: Sidewalls Cracking / Leaking Prematurely

Brief update... I could install tubes in these tires (at a cost of about $65 per tire) but their sidewall cracks will always be a safety hazard, especially when using the FEL. I called my local agricultural tire shop - they quickly recommended that I go with the Galaxy Mighty Mow tire. I've...

Litefoot Turf Tires 23x8.5-12: Sidewalls Cracking / Leaking Prematurely

It has been some time since I last posted here - life has been busy. So, too, has my little fleet of B7510's been busy. Not working hard in rough stuff but rather working hard blowing snow. It has been quite a winter here! I'm wondering if I'm the only person who has seen the Kubota "whole...

    B7500 with a B2781A snowblower attachment

I have similar equipment - two B7510's matched to a B2781A and B2782B, with a B2781 as a spare. I suspect we have a lot of "regionality" tied to this particular question. Here in the Ottawa Valley we traditionally have had colder winters and blowing snow has never been a problem. Now, with...

Pros and cons of snow removal options

Your bigger tractors allow you to pull a bigger, heavier blower and to have more traction. I've seen the smaller (compact, sub-compact) tractors struggle with having sufficient traction to remove the compacted icy ridges.
