Never used a thread repair. Will the Helicoil hold up when removing the drain bolt in the future? Is it better than a Time Sert? Just concerned about getting it fixed for the long haul Thanks

Upon a fluid change my right side transmission drain bolt has stripped the threads in the case. I have the trans already drained and tire is off. I"m assuming i'll need to removed the case where the drain is and repair. What is an effective repair? Helicoil ? Overside plug? Will the case...
