wait ... your driveshaft has a shear bolt? like, the main drive on the thing?

TBH down is easy - i picked one of these up at rural king on sale for like $300, and i intend to get a bunch of use out of it. my land is mostly rocks with a little clay thrown in for funsies. once you get it to bite - which, if your teeth and tip start to dull, can be a challenge, it'll suck...

@old and tired maybe, but i don't have a workspace set up to do that on a half in thick bar. now i have to decide if i order just that rod for $109 or the entire assembly on amazon for $94 from eparts

@TheOldHokie thanks for that, maybe i'll get a pin instead of a bolt. @GeoHorn fair point. it did bend the connector bits on the arm when it sheared off... my hope was with a bolt i might be able to straighten that out. maybe i'll just have to pull it and take it to a vise.

one of these days, i'll learn to be more gentle with my machine. snapped one of the pins that holds the 3-point sway linkage - right at the rear frame where it connects. must've happened to the last owner of this, because the other side has a bolt with a nylock nut on it. anyone know what...
