Thanks everyone for the replies and advise. Based on the feedback, I'm going to give the tractor rim method a try. I made a cardboard template of the base this morning. I'll take it to the local tractor yard where they have hundreds of rims to see which one fit's the best. I have three spare...
Fellas, I have this bench vice stand a friend fabbed for me a while back. I've been mulling around where to install it for four years now. I hate the idea of having to drill through my concrete floor. The best place for it where it isn't in my way and still functional is right next to the...
Bringing this thread back from the dead as I'd like to install a sleeve type block heater on one of my B7200's. I'm gong to assume the situation hasn't changed in the past 8 years, but I have to ask:
Does anyone know if Kubota sells a 30MM block heater sleeve? For older D650-D950 engines. I...
The same principal applies to the battery cables and their connections. It's possible to pass a continuity check, but still have the cables/connections bad enough to prohibit the large current draw needed to spin the starter. An area to pay close attention to is where the negative cable bolts...
I run 80W-90 gear oil in my MMM gearbox (mower is 41 years old). I occasionally check gearbox temps with the laser thermometer. It ranges anywhere between 180-195F depending on outside ambient temperatures.....
The two areas I find the Ag's to be superior is log dragging through the woods, and plowing with the back blade (pulling the blade from behind where you drive over snow before plowing it).
If your plow is front mounted, you might be surprised how well the turfs work in 4wd, even without chains.
You are correct. That year, I thought I'd try reversing them for 3PT snowblower operation. Made zero difference, so haven't done it since. Matter of fact, I stopped using the Ag's all together for snowblowing. The turf's do just fine.....
The front 6-12 AG rim for the B7200 is common and used across wide variety of machines, so that is the easy set to find. The rear 8-16 rim (for 9.5-16 tires) is rare and specific to the B7200 alone due to it's offset.
However, I was able to locate a rim that worked out for me. See attached...
There is a spring loaded detent ball that holds the lever in the 2WD position. This can rust or fill with crud if it isn't moved for period of time and cause the lever to stick. Give the area in the attached pic a shot of penetrating oil and let it sit a tittle before yanking on it.
If that...
Your readings are pretty much identical with my 7200 gear drive, which has an electronic temp gauge. My 7200 HST reads about 5-10 degrees higher, which has a mechanical temp gauge.
Try placing your right foot on the treadle pedal and rock it back and forth (moving the machine slightly forward, then slightly reversed) while placing the heel of your left foot of the 4wd lever forcing it down. You should reach a point where there is no binding on the shift collar and it...
Glad to hear you got it installed and it's working.
I had to cut the grass today, so I thought I'd share my readings. It was 75 (24c) out today with 50% humidity. Here is what my gauge showed:
During mowing: 180 (82c)
Idle cool down after mowing (5 min idle) 170 (77c)
A minute or two after...
I'm curious to hear what your temp readings are, so please report those back. I installed the temp sensor in a port plug on top of the cylinder head. The gauge got mounted under the dash. It's not an ideal location due to poor visibility, plus I had to remove the cruse control lever. But I...
I don't think an overflow is needed. Adding that temp gauge will go a long way to help prevent major overheating. You'll learn its normal operating temperatures after a few uses. From there you just keep an eye on the temp gauge and check the system if it starts to creep up.
The grand L10 series use lug-centric front wheel with tapered holes. The exception is a model with a 5-15 front rim. that is a hub-centric setup that requires the lug nut be reversed and a lock washer installed. This is straight from the manual....
