Given these decks haven't been produced in over 30 years, there is little to no aftermarket support for them. The mid-pto is an oddball size and spline count that is unique to Kubota. Any adapter might throw off the driveline angle which is bad. These decks were designed to run at the 2nd PTO...
The short answer is yes you can, but not advisable.
I use my 2-post to R&R my deck blades, however, I remove the deck from the machine and chain it to all 4 lift arms to do so. I realize it's a pain, but I'm not taking the chance........
Your B7200 probably had a FEL attached at some point in the past, hence why it was upright with an extension when you got it. For a mowing machine, it's best to mount horizontally like you have it now. Here is a pic of my B7200 with it mounted horizontally minus the extension.
Those decks are 35-40 years old at this point, so it's probably rust welded. If the puller isn't enough, try heating it. I rebuilt mine a few years ago and probably used my 30 ton shop press to pop it off.
I'd also suggest rechecking the ground where it connects to the frame. Over time, this spot gets dirty. If the machine ever had a battery that leaked, it gets real nasty at that connection.
Next time you're in the area, check out Wenger Systems located at 264 Voganville Rd in New Holland. This guy has more tractor wheels laying around than anyone. While the name is the same, it's different than Wengers of Myerstown.
There are no PTO safety switches on a B7200, only one for the clutch. The electronics are very simple on this machine. Check the condition of your positive and negative battery cables and make sure they are tight. Also check the condition of the starter solenoid 12V trigger to make sure that...
It's not uncommon for these steering cylinders to leak. I just had the one on my L3010 rebuilt last year due to leaking. It was an easy rebuild for the local hydraulic shop. The chrome on my cylinder was pitted, and that's what was causing my leak....
Hey Chief, I'm practically your neighbor (in Cornwall). I snowblowed the 8'' from last week on my machine with Turf's and I didn't have any issues. The worst part was the wind blowing the 10 degree snow back on my face. I looked like the abominable snowman till I was done. The turfs I run...
Jumping the starter with jumper cables doesn't kill a starter unless the starter was bad previously or the procedure was done incorrectly. It's the only method to determine if your issue lies on the high current starter side of the system, or low current trigger side of the starter solenoid...
The frame dimensions between the L2900 and L3010 are identical. I run a Woods BH7500 backhoe and have used it on both machines without issue. Mine has the older "ladder" type subframe.
