Land Pride QH05 Quick Hitch and fitting implements...

Taken from the image above, this is the part of the quick hitch that's in question. The top pin with the bushing over it on the box blade sits down into this channel about half way, but doesn't seat down completely, while the two lower pins line up and do lock into place.

Land Pride QH05 Quick Hitch and fitting implements...

That dealership is closed now and didn't even think to take a photo when I was there. I'm heaving back there on Tuesday. They're only two miles from me. Only person there today was the office manager and the guy was clueless. That top pin with the collar on the box blade only sat about halfway...

Land Pride QH05 Quick Hitch and fitting implements...

I picked up a Land Pride QH05 quick hitch this morning. Went over to another dealer to see if it would fit a 48" box blade from a differnt manufacturer. Everything lined up perfectly as far as width goes, the side/bottom pins sat perfectly in the quick hitch. Only problem was the center pin with...

Does it matter what brand box scraper/box blade I get for my BX23S?

It's not offensive at all. I just want whichever is better built. The Braber has thicker steel (weighs 50lbs more than the Land Pride) and uses the easier to adjust pins over the spring clips that are on the LP, and it costs less and is pretty much right around the corner from my home. Sadly...

Does it matter what brand box scraper/box blade I get for my BX23S?

My local dealer kind of sucks. Talked to another Kubota dealer about an hour and a half away. Their price for theLand Pride box scraper and quick hitch are quite a bit less than the local dealer, probably because they aren't reaming me with a freight cost that the local dealer wouldn't budge on...

Does it matter what brand box scraper/box blade I get for my BX23S?

I know the differences between the two. Land plane is a one-trick pony, box blade/box scraper is way more versatile. Takes a bit more work to grade and level a driveway with a box blade, but it can and is done all the time. But you can't do all the stuff you can do with a box blade with a land...

Does it matter what brand box scraper/box blade I get for my BX23S?

Well, just. Checked and the Kubota dealer doesn’t have the quick hitch in stock either. Would be nice to have the quick hitch first to see if it fit the box blade I’m looking at. I’m trying to give Kubota more money, but doesn’t seem like they want it!

Does it matter what brand box scraper/box blade I get for my BX23S?

I never paid for it. Was going to lump it into the original purchase when I bought the tractor since it was 0% financing but the dealer said they couldn’t do that because they didn’t have any in stock and in order to add it to the loan they would need a serial number. They ordered a few but...

Does it matter what brand box scraper/box blade I get for my BX23S?

who’s using it on their lawn? I will be using it to level and grade my gravel driveway, move snow in the winter and level out part of my yard before laying down grass seed since I just tore up the front lawn digging a trench for a frost free yard hydrant and removed four very large stumps, two...

Does it matter what brand box scraper/box blade I get for my BX23S?

My only reservation with a quick hitch is I use the backhoe as well. If I'm switching between the backhoe and land rake or box blade I still have to take the backhoe off and on, and adding a quick hitch would just add another step, right? I do have a set of telescoping stabilizers for the 3-pint...

Does it matter what brand box scraper/box blade I get for my BX23S?

Have had my BX23S for a little over a month now and can't believe I've gone without a tractor for so long. Picked up some from forks and a land rake when I purchased the tractor. They did not have any 48" box blades in stock and said they were ordering a couple. Five weeks later they still...

    OEM Mechanical Thumb wont adjust...

I think it was the thick factory paint. Ended up removing the pin and just worked the thumb back and forth on an old tree stump to loosen it up. Initially tried to loosen it with a dead blow hammer but was unsuccessful. The tree stump worked perfectly.

    OEM Mechanical Thumb wont adjust...

Having trouble adjusting the mechanical thumb on a new BX23S. Should just be able to remove the pin, push back the thumb and reinsert the pin into the other hole to keep the thumb out of the way when digging, but even with the pin out the thumb wont go back. Not sure what I'm doing wrong here...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Who posts wishing they had rocks?! I'm currently digging trenches for some freeze-proof hydrants and our frost line is 24" and the ground is FULL of rocks. Wouldn't wish that on anyone.

Will do! I’m always using my smoker and Weber Genesis!
