Thanks David, I've had similar results so far although the mowing season is just getting ramped up. I'm using a hodge-podge jury rig for the ill fitting chute that came with it and it works ok, but I would imagine that performance will improve once the proper chute gets applied. Cheers

Sorry for the ultra slow response... My mow deck is a RCK54-22BX. I've tried the vac out using a temporary solution trying to determine if I can get by with modifications or of I need to spend yet another $250 on the right chute. So far this spring I've had little time to tinker, so the jury...

Thanks Kupitz, I'll look at the exact model tonight. I'm fairly sure its a standard deck, but as a recent acquisition, I can't be sure.

Kupitz, Any chance you could post a couple photos of the proper Trac Vac chute? I just did the same, bought a good condition 2nd hand 580 but the chute isn't quite right. So I'm trying to sort out whether I'm better off modifying it or forking out the cash for a new one.
