Bit or auger type for post hole digger

Racerboy, I ended up hiring it done! For the number of posts, I couldn't justify an attachment.

That saw was one reason I cleaned up the place—the previous owner left it, and I haven't used it yet! I've never run one, and have to do my research too.

chim, I have two Tomcat bait stations on one side of the garage/shop and two on the other! Two in the furnace room of the house. Got more ordered for outside the barn and sheds. They are obscenely expensive for what they are, a small plastic box with steel pegs inside for bait. But they work and...

    Kubota Quality

I hear you, Trustable. I was kind of playing devil's advocate here, as I grew up hearing union horror stories. And my father was in management and hated unions and was always fighting them. But at the same time, I was best paid in a unionized place when I was, of all things, a newspaper...

    Kubota Quality

I hate to say it, but it seems to me we're paying a price for the attack on labor unions and wages for skilled and unskilled labor in the USA. Must be other factors too. And I'm not saying dealerships should be unionized necessarily but that unions set a standard for compensation that trickled...

Thanks, Mike. I am an obvious rookie at mechanical things. I'm absurdly proud that I at least do the basic services on my tractor. My carpentry is rough. I am proud of my pruning skills and now have most of my saws and poles and shears hung on the other side of the wall shown.

Jay, my two mainstay workbenches are on the other side of the wall! Land slopes so much here that this little brick outbuilding has the single-car bay (now tractor) on one level, and you step down into the other side. Hard to get used to my tools on both sides. But I've overhauled the other side...

New (to me) BX and to the forum

GreX, I used Mobil 1 successfully in my first two Kubotas and a JD. I just checked to make sure the oils I used were diesel rated. In my current tractor, I run Amsoil 5-40. On fuel treatments, I like Hot Shot's Secret, based on how high it rates in all the tests I've seen. Through the warmer...

Wall Control is sturdy steel pegboard available in various colors, and it's helping me get control of my workbench in the tractor shed. I picked orange to honor my Kubota, with some blue fixtures. Nicely painted, Wall Control looks more expensive than it is. Next I'm going to add some magnets...

B2601 Treadle Pedal hard to use

    Thanks, RichBob! On the to-do list . . .

Trailering accident - Any idea what happened here?

So presumably more than adequate. But does it matter that the tlb/trailer combo appears to greatly outweigh the truck? Maybe it doesn't. But the backhoe adds a lot, and I'm thinking the tractor's rear wheels are loaded too. Then again, I guess tractor-trailers are commonly run with trailer...

B2601 Treadle Pedal hard to use

RichBob, when you say it was very easy to remove the spring, can you explain exactly how? I am used to my pedal finally but this glitch annoys me. BUT I have little mechanical ability. I do my basic services okay, following instructions, pictures, and sometimes with help from here and YouTube!

Trailering accident - Any idea what happened here?

Glad some have addressed the truck's size. Maybe it was adequate or maybe it's the picture, but that tlb LOOKS far too big/heavy for that truck. And as has been noted, the trailer appears minimal, at least in length. I'm so scared of towing, at my age and having not done it for years, I'd have...

    Help, Broken Hydraulic Dipstick!?

Yeah, that's probably what I should do. And if I don't find it in the fluid, assume it's in one of the filters or ground to bits?

    Help, Broken Hydraulic Dipstick!?

Thanks, hodge. Am thinking about it!
