As far as I can tell from all the dots lining up correctly, all the timing is fine. It fires up and runs for a second then cuts out. The problem is 100% exhaust coming out of the injector inlet into the fuel line, I have video of this but it wont upload to here. I'll upload to youtube and link...

After a full rebuild the engine would start then cut out, and air would be in the fuel rail. Lots more cranking and the same would happen. I took off the diesel rail pipes and cranked the engine and bubbles were coming out of the injector inlet, obviously feeding "air" back into the rail. I...

Just did a compression test and all 3 cylinders are coming out at 420psi. It's only a cheap kit so might be reading lower than the actual pressure, but the main thing is they are all exactly the same. I had the injector feed and return pipes disconnected and noticed that there is pressure...

Bottle feeding did not help. I'm thinking it may be to do with the governor and the fork not moving the control lever enough. But I don't know enough about it. I'm wondering if something got damaged or moved while at the machine shop. I didn't strip all of that down, as I didn't see the need to...

I've also ordered a compression testing kit. It's bound to come in handy with my other diesel vehicles. It should arrive next week.

Sorry Wolfman Just read your message. I've not tried that yet. Do you mean have the bottle higher than the engine to gravity feed it, so there's no need for a lift pump?

I've not really had a chance to take another look, just replaced all the fuel lines and did a lot of bleeding, but no real progress. I really need to borrow a pressure tester before anything else. I'ts all a bit too frustrating at the moment. I'll keep everyone posted for sure!
