I used J&B Weld to repair a spot on the rear of the axle housing caused by one of the lower lift arms. It had rubbed all the way through the cast iron. That was over 25 years ago and its still holding. Good luck

I'm new to this site and while browsing around found this restoration thread. This thing is beautiful. I have an L225 and the two tractors are almost identical. This will probably make me do what I've been meaning to do for years, get started doing the same thing. Thanks for the photo log.
