Well all just to follow up. Unfortunately very bad news. The bottom of the case was blown out so ...... no rebuild. Ugh !! So now the next decision; order a case and rebuild or just purchase a whole new steering unit?? Any advice would be appreciated. Thnx in advance.

Well I fired the ole girl up to push some snow. However she has fallen victim to the wonderful steering box issues. I'm hoping its just a rebuild with the box not being cracked from frozen water. I added oil to the box and was able to clear the end of the drive with the sloppiest steering ever...
