    Ya need to check for proper voltage at the starter under load.

    You need to check voltage and clean connection2 before throwing parts at it.

    You need a diesel compression tester, it must screw in as you never hold against 400 or so psi. Harbor freight has some pretty cheap.

    I have a B7500 since new, it does not spring return to run. It snaps out and stays, You have to push it back in over the snap point to start it.

    It has fell out before. Look at the Chicago fit marks around the hole!!!! You need a good head shop to rebuild the head & as said above maybe a piston. It is hard to access the damage plus the rod may be bent also.

    That is not what ya said above???? So it cranks, has fuel to the injectors???? There is a big difference between, won't crank & won't start.

    In that case have it load tested, open circuit voltage don't mean much.

    You pretty much have a bad battery or a bad connection. How old is the battery? Have you cleaned ALL battery connections??? It will not work with low voltage!
