That makes sense. It seems very passive and like it must not work as well as an air filter. Yet ive heard oil bath filters actually work better in dirty environments.

My confusion stems from this photo. The center "Straw" is where the air is pulled in through. It however does not sit in the oil, when filled to the "fill" line on the cup.

I am trying to figure out what item 21 is Kubota #10283-11440 DAMPER,AIR CLNR is and what its purpose is. I am missing it on my tractor. Also, does anyone know if the small pipe opening is suppose to sit in the oil?

I have a new to me B6000, which came with a damaged oil bath air filter. I don't believe it has all of the parts and I am confused by how its suppose to operate. The tail end cylinder that comes off of the main filter housing does not extend far enough to sit in the oil, so im not understanding...
