Yep.. that's what I use. Loop around each outrigger. Can also help prevent it from sagging when the BH is disconnected.

I have the same issue. After getting under there it looks like one of the springs broke. Odd thing is, I can't even get the bar to rotate to where it would be in the correct position. I'll spend some time under there this weekend to see what I need to do to fix it. Quite annoying to always worry...
