    RCK72R-F36 Deck spindle

I'd been thinking about this as well, whether to remove the bearing seal on one side or not. It's a subject which seems to arouse a lot of opinion on the internet and I'm not really persuaded one way or the other by the arguments I'd read. The old bearings were unsealed but the new ones have...

    RCK72R-F36 Deck spindle

No, In the center spindle there is only one bearing, the top of the spindle is supported by the bearing in the gearbox, which isn't shown in the diagram. The two outer spindles both have two bearings however.

    RCK72R-F36 Deck spindle

Yes that is what i intuitively thought it would be like. However this one isn't that way, the old bearing dropped straight out with a couple of light taps on the race with a punch, no hammer just the weight of the punch, and the new one slides in easily by hand. There is no visible sign of wear...

    RCK72R-F36 Deck spindle

Thanks Geohorn Yes I have bought bearings and seals from a local bearing supplier for about that, 1/3 or perhaps even less, than the cost of buying them from the Kubota dealer. The seals were the same NOK brand and part numbers that Kubota use and the bearings were made in Japan jtekt/koyo...

    RCK72R-F36 Deck spindle

This is the center spindle arrangement on the RCK72R-F36(AU) deck. Can anyone tell me if there is supposed to be an interference fit between the shaft (240) and the bearing (030) or if the bearing should be pressed into the housing? When I disassembled it nothing seemed like it has been pressed...

    ZD326s Bogging Down Under Load

The tank on the F2400 is mounted high, the bottom of it is a little higher than the injector pump from memory. There is a cam driven pump immediately before the injection pump, I may not be technically correct in calling it a lift pump I'm not sure, but either way it seemed to be working ok to...

    ZD326s Bogging Down Under Load

I don't know what the tank on the ZD236 is like but i had a similar issue on my old F2400. I changed the filters, treated for algae, cleaned out the tank, blew out the lines, tested the lift pump etc, and nothing helped. What i think might be going on is when the fuel level gets below a certain...

    Electric fan for B7100HST

I acquired an old F2400 mower with a property i bought and the previous owner had done that. Probably because he'd also replaced the radiator with one from an old car, the set up he had was never going to work, and the thing would always overheat. I put a more appropriate radiator i found on...

F3690 Rear axle drive shaft seals

I've got oil leaking from the driveshaft seals and o rings at the rear axle on my F3690. The leaks are at the locations shown by red arrows in the picture. One you can't really see because its at the rear holder behind the axle, but its in the same location as the one I've marked on the front...

Kubota F3680 Engine Stops After Random Intervals

I figured out the issue, or two separate issues, one might be relevant to the original posters question about the machine randomly stopping. I think when i was testing the switches I've shorted something out because i found a blown 5 amp fuse. After i replaced that the constant horn/alarm...

Kubota F3680 Engine Stops After Random Intervals

I'm having what i think might be a related issue with my FS3690 and Id certainly appreciate some tips. I went to start it this morning and forgot to have the parking brake on so it wouldn't crank. But then I impulsively hit the brake pedal before id released the key from the start position and...

F2400 PTO Clutch Replacement - How Big A Job Is It?

I've got a similar problem going on with my F2400. The clutch doesn't want to disengage. I don't think its stuck, it happened all of a sudden. It was working fine, (well, as fine as anything works on a 40 odd year old machine that's had multiple 'farmer fixes' with whatever was lying around over...
