I took my actual drawbar into three different stores and couldn't find a single shackle that would work without modification. Crazy how difficult this is. Does anyone happen to have a link or a part number of a shackle that was ordered online?

Do grapples typically come loaded with fluid? I assumed that the lines would be empty and that fluid would be required to fill the lines. Sorry for the basic question but I am new to grapples.

I had the LP 3rd function kit installed when I purchased my 2610 and I am finally getting around to picking up a grapple (which will be my first experience with one). When installing the grapple, do I just connect it, run the tractor, and then add hydraulic fluid if needed?

Yes, for the OEM drawbar. I am not sure what the required pin size is or the thickness of the actual drawbar. I need to purchase a shackle (or a few) to attach pull chains and ropes in order to pull out some logs but I am not at home in order to grab the measurements.

Does anyone have a recommended setup for pulling logs out of the woods? Chain around log connected to shackle on tractor? Choker cable?

Does anyone know what size shackle is needed for the drawbar on an LX2610?

Did you purchase through e-parts? I am always cautious of places I have never heard of.

He is being a stand up guy and covering the cost of the replacement. I am just trying to identify the best drop in replacement.

I completely agree. I have no problem helping someone with my tractor but I need to be the one operating. Not sure what my wife was thinking loaning it out without even talking to me first.

I appreciate all the feedback. Along with replacing the top link, I will also be installing a cut off switch so that this doesn't happen again in the future. I still haven't heard how the damage occurred or why the tractor was loaned out.
