Hello all, question, I swapped rear wheels so they are inside out to help give a little wider foot print, also looks better IMO. Is this ok to do? or will it put too much strain on the rear axle assemblies? Approximately 5in more span.

I ordered new hoses off line as soon as I brought my L2000DT home. all available.

I got a shaft and some other side gear parts off E bay. The female yoke end of the front drive shaft is toast, along with the original shaft. Splines gone. I got an adapter 18 spline to 6 spline. Will have the end machined off and welded to the yoke, plus new shaft, good to go. I am interested...

Thanks. Thats what I was hoping. I guess the bearing is just lightly pressed into the case? and a slide hammer set up will pop it out?

I am needing to replace the spline shaft that comes out of the side gear box for the 4WD. I am wondering if anyone cane tell me if the shaft can be removed without removing the whole gear box. The shaft is #22, and I already removed the end plate #24. The manual I have says to disassemble it...

Yea thanks all. I drove the tractor around the yard without anything attached and put the PTO in gear and watched it spin, then pushed the clutch in and was totally amazed at how long it coasted before it stopped. That was with nothing attached.

Yes I know it has multiple speeds. Im not sure if it did it with PTO in neutral. Now that I think about it, I may have just had the clutch pushed in. Would that keep the PTO turning? I know there is "live PTO" and not but not sure the difference.
