Will try the leaf blower, have tried all the other items (sharpened blades, tightened belt, changed fluid and cleaned air screen in front of radiator and checked intake to engine). If that doesn't work, then I'll look at replacing the thermostat... will let everyone know what the fix is. Thanks.
