Was moving trash today and a few drops of hyd fluid dripped down the column. Finished up what I was doing and it was dark, but the fluid dripped enough to get the top of the trans area wet. Haven't pulled anything apart yet, just curious as to what might be leaking under there

Ran it again today and the 0.7hr old tach stopped working. Temp at head was hitting 230-240 Top hose was 180ish Bottom was 145ish Coolant was 185-195 in the radiator, did hit 214 when I first shot the laser at it. I think it picked up something else though because it was pretty solid at...

Just got it back from the shop and no more bubbles in the radiator. Everything looks good so far. They checked it and wasn't overheating, I mowed.with it a bit when I got home and checked the head with a cheap infrared gun. Near the exhaust manifold was showing 220ish and near the bolt that is...

I've already looked at remanned complete engines, for the just in case scenarios. I've tracked down several rebuilt heads in the 500 range. Going to pressure test it first, just to see. It's still odd to me that the lower hose will show a temp in the 200 degree range and the head won't...

I think the radiator cap isn't working right. There's an overflow tube on the neck that hasn't dripped a drop, but the radiator overflows every time I open it.

I ran it up to its operating temp again this morning where the lower hose is showing 190-200, did the "spit test" on the cylinder head and thermostat housing and it set there for a while. A good 30 seconds in 3 places. I popped the radiator cap and it overflowed instantly then had some bubbles...

There are days I need to quit working on my own equipment. The lights don't work on the tractor, but the hazard relay does...

Ticking, intermittent ticking, about a second or two apart. Sounds like two different tones or maybe a fast rock and slow tick.
