I agree, but that appears to be a 12 hours each way from Warren, CT.

Is this a Grey Market Kubota??

Not a gray market Kubota. Does it come with the front blade or other attachments? It dose appear to have been repainted as it looks like the newer Kubota 2 orange paint. Also the dash is black and the original was the same orange as the fenders and hood. I have the L185DT which is a 4 wheel...

    Steering wheel removal

Well FINALLY it broke loose. Sprayed it every day with PB Blaster. Today used the 5 ton 3 arm wheel puller that I got from the auto store and it broke free. Really had to put some torque on the wheel before it did break loose. Was not rusted on but looked like there was some residual stuff there...

    Steering wheel removal

Thanks for the replies, I had already tried all of the above. Even broke a gear puller trying to get the wheel off. Have sprayed with PB Blaster. Went by O'Reillys last night and picked up a 2/3 arm puller to try. By the time I got home it was dark. Hard to work in the dark and hold 3 arms on...

    Steering wheel removal

Started a restoration on my L185DT and have been taking parts into for sandblasting and then repainting them. Got down to the dash and dang it. The last piece will not come off without removal the steering wheel. Now how do I get this thing off? Jackie

    Dozer/snow blade pics

I have a dozer blade on my L185DT. The blade and springs seem to be the same as your picture. My blade is attached to what I would call a subframe that goes all the way to the back of the tractor. Does not look at all like what is pictured in your post. There is a support arm for my control...

    Replacing AG tires on L185DT

I have a L185DT that had the original AG tires front and rear. One of the rims had a large hole rusted out that would cut the inner tube. My father-in-law was able to cut out the center and weld it into the center of a 14 inch car wheel. The tire was in no better shape with a large hole in the...

    Front blade hydraulic control issue

I have an old L185DT with a front blade. The previous owner was a friend of my father-in-law and he purchased it from his estate after he passed away. I believe the blade is a Kubota original as well. I also had it do the same thing you mentioned. Did it on several occasions. I just let it...

    Wanted L185DT front rim

I have had two older Kubotas. First was a B5100DT (4x4 and 10HP) and now this L185DT. Neither would shut off with turning the key off. If you take a look at the throttle, there is a small lever down on the right that you lift up on and will reduce the fuel flow until it starves the engine and...

    Flail mower too Large?

My first Kubota was a B5100DT. Came with a 4 foot Mott flail mower. The B5100DT was only 10HP if I remember correctly. It handled that mower without any problems at all. Used it to mow my yard for years before moving and selling it. You may be able to handle a 72 inch mower but would not...

14x5 rim (6 lug holes) for front tire - L185DT

I also have the same tractor, which was very poorly maintained by the prior owner. One of the front rims had a hole rusted clean through. My father-in-law took the rim and cut out the center section and then found a 14X6 car rim and welded the center into it. Now the rims are different diameters...

    L 1500 Clutch finally gone...

I just looked up the part number for the handles (34150-29170) and I don't plan on buying any after looking up the price. YIKES!!! $144.85 @ Coleman Equipement. I would hope that is for 2 of them.

installing live hydraulics on an L1501

I thought that my L185DT was essentially the same tractor as the L1500DT. The block that you describe is the flow priority valve. It is located on the left side of the L185DT. See above pictures. Yes, you are correct, there is flow through the system when the motor is running. Does not matter...

    L 1500 Clutch finally gone...

No grab handles on mine. Just the holes. I have toyed with the idea of buying some though. Have not looked into the price for these yet. I had an old B5100DT that had handles and had gotten used to holding onto them when using the box blade on that tractor.

Also could go to a dealer and ask about the "flow priority valve". Ask to look at a parts breakdown. They may have a listing for an optional splitter as shown in my photos. I could not find a part number for that part.
