I have done it on the M6040 and ZD331, I cannot remember for sure but one of them actually pulled oil into the shop vac, about 1/2 a gallon. It might have been the M as the normal oil level is only a few inches below the fill port.

I have done it on my M6040. I would recommend having another person operate the shop vac instead of taping the hose to the fill port. I would rather not chance it coming loose when the hydraulic filter is not there.

Yea me either. How many hours are on it? You mentioned it wasn’t your machine. Did they try to run it on water?

I looked at the parts diagram for his model and it’s a regular Marinco cigarette lighter female plug. Thats why I requested a picture as I’m not sure the twist lock and unlock he states.

That code shows a communication error in the ECU. Has the battery recently been replaced?

The model he is referring to is not a diesel. Are you set on a new one? I’m sure it’s area dependent but I always see more used mowers for sale in the fall and winter.
