You can see in the middle picture, the plug doesn't come all the way to the edge of the pipe. But the plug takes up a small amount of space inside, leaving less room for storage.

They sell a piece at Lowe's that caps inside. But I had to split the pipe, so that wouldn't work. The red test plug would work on the back side and still go in. Duct tape worked fine for me but when it rots out, I'll replace with another test plug.

BTW... I found the idea somewhere on the internet.

The loader is LA525. It's 4in. which is to big. So I split it with a jig saw about 1/8in. I kind of widdled it down so it would fit tight. The cap came from Lowe's, 4in test plug. It will only hold about 7ft. of chain with hooks. I used duct tape on the back end. I'll probably change at some...

I gave the new forks a workout. Man those things are nice. Saved time, cut more wood and saved my back from having to bend over.

Usually all I can carry from work. They haul them to the dump.

Just need the forks now. No hurry, shouldn't need until I'm ready to fill up the wood shed. Maybe I'll run across someone in need of some cash this summer.
